In Loving Memory of Msgr. Leo WleczykIt is with deep sorrow and Christian hope in the Resurrection that we announce the passing of Msgr. Leo Wleczyk, beloved priest and retired pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
Msgr. Leo faithfully served the Church for over five decades following his ordination to the priesthood. For 35 years, he shepherded the parish of St. Michael the Archangel in Lake Jackson with unwavering dedication, guiding generations of parishioners in faith, charity, and love of Christ.
He was not only a devoted pastor, but also a spiritual father, mentor, and friend to so many. His legacy of faithful service, humility, and love for the Church will remain in our hearts.
Msgr. Leo passed away on April 29, 2026.
Funeral Arrangements
Visitation – Monday, May 4, 2026
5:00–6:00 pm: Family Visitation
6:00–8:00 pm: Open Visitation
6:30 pm: Prayer Vigil / Rosary (Led by Deacon Jeff and Knights of Columbus)
Funeral Mass – Tuesday, May 5, 2026
11:00 am Committal to follow at the cemetery
Funeral meal and reception in the parish hall following the committal
We entrust his soul to the mercy of God and give thanks for the countless lives he touched through his priestly ministry.
“Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.”

Adoration Help!

Dear Parish Family,
Five years ago, Covid and a fear of the unknown took many things from us and altered many lives forever. One of the things we surrendered as a Parish Family was our time in a Holy Hour with the Lord each week during the evening hours. With our new Divine Presence Chapel now complete we have the opportunity to restore those hours and commit to pray for our families, parish, community, and vocations.
We need two adorers for each hour, and we currently have fifteen (15) open hours to fill.
We will not be able to open the additional days if we do not fill the 3 additional hours.
There are many ways to cover an hour without committing yourself to it every week. Sign up with your bible study or women’s/men’s group to commit to share the coverage of an hour or hours for an evening. Share an hour with a friend. Find someone to alternate with every other week.
Planed hours to fill are Sunday – Friday 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Bless yourself and your family with a weekly hour in the presence of the Lord!
