Ways to Give to the Parish

Give Online via Our Sunday Visitor (OSV)

To donate to the parish via Our Sunday Visitor (OSV), there are four simple steps to use:

1. Click on the Online Giving icon at the top of this web page.
2. On the Regular Offering icon, click “Give Now” and fill out the form with the amount you wish to give and select Recurring or One-time. If you selected Recurring, select the frequency and start date and click Continue.
3. Then you need to fill out your e-mail address, you name, street address and choice of bank account or credit. For the bank account option you will need the bank routing number and your account number – if using a checking account, these can be found on a check.
4. If you selected a set frequency (vs. one-time payment), it will ask you to create a password. Your e-mail address and your password will then be how you sign back into your account for changes or personal reporting. There are some helpful reporting features within the tool when you have an account.

Use "Bill Pay" (or the equivalent) at your Bank or Credit Union

An existing process which has been in place for a long time is through the services offered at your bank. For example, Bill Pay at TDECU can be setup to automatically allow parishioners to make contributions on a frequency of their choosing. This is a free service and is the most cost-effective electronic payment system.  As there are several banks that offer pay billing services, it would be difficult to provide specific instructions, other than to have you contact your particular bank.

Mail your Offering to the Parish Office

You can always postal mail your offering to the office as the mail is still being delivered by the U.S. Post Office and picked up by parish staff.  Please aid our accounting staff by using your parish contribution envelopes or marking your check with the ID number that is printed on your contribution envelope.

Background

Since late 2019, we have been working to establish a means to make offerings electronically or “online” and decided to work with Our Sunday Visitor (OSV), a trusted Catholic publication and services company and one of the leading providers offering these tools. They have been our weekly envelope providers for many years. We recently tested out their systems to take both registrations and payment for the Heart of Worship retreat in February and for donations to the Crucifix Memorial Fund. We did learn a few things as we had hoped to and it was a successful trial. We are now ready to open this system for our regular contributions with a later roll-out for special collections and Holy Days.

We were planning to roll this out after Easter but given the current situation, we will roll it out now for those who would like to use these methods.

With this service, parishioners can decide to make electronic transfers from their checking or savings account or use VISA / MasterCard. You can choose a one-time contribution or set up a frequency of weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. Costs to the church are $0.15 per electronic bank transfer (ACH) and about 3% for credit card use. There is an option for you to cover the 3% credit card fee if you are so moved.

We encourage you to take advantage of any of the three methods of continuing to contribute to you parish.
