Three in One
This Feast of the Most Holy Trinity is an expression of the dogmatic statement that God is Trinity, three persons in one God: Father, Son, and Spirit. The true nature of God is a mystery that no human being can ever fully penetrate. Yet it is an even greater mystery that God continues to reveal the divine nature to us, to offer us love, and to draw us into union. The revelation of Jesus as Son of God and of the Spirit of love between Father and Son led gradually to the theological statement that God is Trinity, three Persons in one God: Father, Son, and Spirit.
That is what we celebrate on this Feast.
